Package Protection Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Disputely LLC ("we," "us") handles your information when you purchase optional package protection ("Protection") at checkout on a participating merchant's store. It supplements — and does not replace — the privacy policy of the store you purchased from.
Information we receive
When you add Protection to an order, we receive from the merchant's store platform:
- Order details — order number, items purchased, order total, and the Protection fee.
- Contact information — your name, email address, and phone number if provided at checkout.
- Delivery information — shipping address, carrier, tracking numbers, and tracking events.
- Claim information — anything you submit when filing a claim, such as descriptions and photos.
How we use it
- To provide Protection for your order, including monitoring delivery status.
- To review and resolve claims, including issuing replacements or refunds.
- To communicate with you about your coverage or an open claim.
- To prevent fraud and abuse of the Protection service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- The merchant you purchased from, to coordinate claim resolutions such as reorders and refunds.
- Carriers and tracking providers, to retrieve delivery status for your shipment.
- Service providers that support our infrastructure (such as cloud hosting), bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities, where required by law.
Retention
We keep order and claim records for as long as needed to administer coverage, resolve disputes, and meet legal and accounting requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@protect.shop with your order number. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates become effective upon publication on this page.
